Katixa Agirre Miguélez
I was born in a green town called Vitoria-Gasteiz, which is the capital city of the Basque Country. That happened towards the end of 1981.
Some people say I am a writer, maybe because I have published some books, all of them written in Basque language. I have also translated a book in Spanish into Basque. You can check out the whole list, which I hope will increase in the future.
I am a regular contributor to Basque media such as Deia, Argia, Berria, Aizu, Gaztezulo as well as the literature tv show Sautrela.

Trying to do my best in a karaoke (Kafe Antzokia, Bilbo, 2007)
I’ve worked as a temporary lecturer at the University of the Basque Country. My field is media studies, with a special focus on cinema and women’s studies. I’ve gota Phd thanks to a dissertation on the Lolita myth in Hollywood cinema. I gave a lecture on this topic at the University of Nevada in Reno, in August 2009.
I am a blogger since 2004. This is my 4th blog, inaugurated along with my second short-story book Habitat.
I live in London now, I work as a postdoctoral research fellow at Queen Mary, University of London. I’ve lived in Vitoria, Madrid, Bilbao and a lovely English town called Worcester (where the famous sauce has been made since the early 1800s).
